"Hypodontia leading to small teeth and gaps."

This lovely patient had a condition called hypodontia. This means she was born with fewer adult teeth and the ones that did erupt were very small. It also means that baby teeth do not fall out and can be retained for many years. Eventually the baby teeth may fall out, leaving gaps that need to be restored.

She was very self-conscious about her smile. When she was younger, porcelain veneers were not appropriate, so the shape of her teeth was improved with composite bonding. When she got older, the bonding was replaced by porcelain veneers.

She was really pleased with the end result.
