Composite bonding is a minimally invasive cosmetic dental procedure used to improve the appearance of your smile. It involves applying a high-quality, tooth-coloured resin material directly to the teeth to alter their shape, size, or colour.

This treatment is highly versatile and can be used to repair chipped or cracked teeth, close gaps between teeth (diastemas), alter the shape of uneven teeth, or cover discolouration that doesn't respond to traditional whitening.

Unlike porcelain veneers, composite bonding can usually be completed in a single visit without the need for drilling or injections, as your natural tooth structure is completely preserved. The resin is carefully sculpted by our expert dentists and polished to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, providing a beautiful, natural-looking result.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

Composite bonding is ideal for patients looking to correct minor aesthetic imperfections without permanently altering their natural teeth. It is a fantastic option if you have chipped edges, minor gaps, or slightly misshapen teeth. However, if your teeth are severely misaligned, orthodontics may be recommended first. If your bite is unstable or you suffer from severe bruxism (grinding), the underlying functional issues must be addressed before bonding is placed, otherwise the resin will chip and fail prematurely.
